The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the Hyundai Sonata the Top Safety Pick award for 2011. The latest Hyundai Sonata is the first medium-sized vehicle to acquire five stars in the latest, stricter NHTSA system. The safety level of the Hyundai Sonata is unmatched within the industry due to the five stars and the Top Safety Pick award.
