Hyundai's New i-onic Concept

Hyundai has uncovered their new i-onic concept car, a sleek and smooth addition to the Hyundai brand. Not only is the i-onic great on gas mileage due to its hybrid engine, but it has a unique design which promises to steal the spotlight in upcoming Auto Shows. What do you think of the design so far?

While full specs will still have to wait for a few days, the first official photo of the Hyundai i-onic Concept that debuts in Geneva clearly lives up to the promise of the original design sketch released late last year. We do know that the most dramatic embodiment yet of the firm's Fluidic Sculpture styling language features a range-extending 1.0-liter/three-cylinder gasoline engine that serves as a supplemental generator to the car's primary 108-horsepower electric motor and lithium-ion battery pack. In pure EV mode, this striking four-passenger hatch/coupe can travel up to 75 mile on a single charge but carry on for an additional 360 miles after its range-extender engine kicks in. Beyond that, we're told the Hyundai i-onic Concept boasts a roomy, high-tech cabin with a sport-focused driver area and a lounge-like flavor to the rest of the interior that features sculpted surfaces inspired by various musical instruments.
